IP transfer and spin-off
From the first idea to successful commercialisation.
The Masaryk University Technology Transfer Office (TTO) was established in 2005 to help innovative ideas cross the borders of the university and put knowledge and technologies into practice. More than 200+ companies have been supported over that time and TTO is our important partner to support and protect our intellectual property and ideas.

Advex Instruments, s.r.o. was founded in early 2007 as a spin-off company of Masaryk University in Brno to take on the well-established production of See System, a contact angle and surface energy measuring tool, which was originally invented and produced at the university during years 2002-2006. Although the See System has remained the company's flagship in the production of scientific instruments, the company extended its interest into diagnostics of other surface properties such as self-cleaning performance of photocatalytic materials, water permeability, etc. in the development of new instruments and measurement methods.
