Course registration, timetable

In order to attend courses throughout the semester, you are required to first register for them, thereby expressing your desire to be enrolled. The entire procedure is conducted via the Information System. Faculty registration schedules may differ. In the case of courses with limited capacity, the order which students initially registered in is decisive; timely registration is thus clearly advantageous.

Course registration is followed by enrolment. You will be enrolled automatically in all registered courses with fulfilled prerequisites, sufficient capacity, etc. Only after you have been successfully enrolled do you have both the right and the obligation to complete a given course.

However, should you reconsider, you may cancel your course registration and even your course enrolment. The latter may only be voided during the course enrolment change period. Please note that faculty schedules may differ.

Seminar Group Registration

In case your course is divided into several seminar groups, you must register for a particular group. Group registration takes place via the IS at a designated time.

Individual seminar groups are taught by different teachers at different times and most have limited capacity. Since seminar and class exercise attendance is compulsory, completing your group registration in a timely manner is highly advisable.

Timetable

You are free to assemble your own schedule by registering for specific courses and seminar groups (this may not apply to some fields of study at the Faculty of Medicine and some combined studies).
