I have been interested in astronomy since 1978 in a small astronomical club in Trebic. Two years later I started to be variable star observer. Later I became teacher of astronomy in this club. One of my pupils became a professional astronomer. Later during my university studies studied astronomy at speacial course at a grammar school in Valasske Mezirici. After graduation of university I took a job at N. Copernicus Observatory and Planetarium in Brno. Since 2005 I have also a part-time job at Masaryk university.
