Flight Transport to Brno

Vienna International Airport

From the airport, you can take a train or a bus.

Bus: There is a direct bus from the airport to Brno is by Student Agency bus, for which the online booking is possible at The buses go directly from the Vienna airport to the Brno city centre, and the trip takes 2,5 hours.

Václav Havel Airport Prague

Brno Airport

This small airport is about 15km far from the city centre. To get to the city centre, you can use the bus number 76 (sometimes written E76) ( from Brno Airport to Brno Main Station (Hlavní nádraží). More expensive option is to take a taxi ( which collects passengers in front of the arrival hall and the payment options are credit card or EURO.

The public transport is provided by DPMB ( which maintains 12 tram lines, 13 trolley-bus lines and 37 bus lines. During the night, 11 bus lines are available. If you want to use public transport, buy tickets only for 100+101 zones. Regular tickets are 20 CZK for 15 minutes or 90 CZK for one day. If you're staying in Brno for several days you can buy a 5-day ticket which costs 250 CZK. There are several places where you can buy them. The best one for you is probably the main railway station, where you can buy it at any counter. Please look for the international counters because they are more likely to speak English. Single journey tickets can be bought from ticket automats (coins only) at many stops, or in tobacco stores. You need to validate the single journey ticket in the yellow validation machine when you enter the bus, trolleybus or tram.

Another option, which is rather expensive, is a taxi. Prices are around 30 CZK per km + fixed sum of approx. 40 CZK per ride. Recommended service is City Taxi (+420 542 321 321) (
