The Department of Theoretical Physics and Astrophysics recommends choosing your abroad experience rather by the topic of your research, than by the country/university you want to visit. Thus if you are interested in working out of the country, consult your supervisors and let them help you with finding working experience in a suitable foreign organization or in a research group led by some of their colleagues. These more focused mobilities are from our experiences much more beneficial for both sides and also so far they have 100% success rate within the Erasmus+ selection process. Additionally with this type of mobilities you can get your funding even out of the standard timetable.
By this way our students visited for example centers of ESA, VLA in New Mexico, La Silla Observatory in Chile, Princeton University etc. as seen below.

Dr. Pavel Ondračka from the Department of Physics and Technology is developing new models for simulations of the structure and properties of thin films. Thanks to a MŠMT MSCA project, he went and now collaborates with colleagues at the University of Leoben in Austria. Using his models for the amorphous material tungsten-boron-carbon (W-B-C), it will be possible to predict the mechanical properties of this material, understand its behavior, and find the most suitable composition for hard protective layer applications.
