Thin Films and HEAs in Focus: Visit of Professors from Taiwan

The Department of Plasma Physics and Technology and CEPLANT welcomed Prof. Jyh-Wei Lee and Prof. Bih-Show Lou from Taiwan, strengthening ongoing international collaboration. Prof. Lee delivered an INNOLEC lecture on high-entropy alloy thin films prepared by HiPIMS, highlighting the role of composition and deposition control in tailoring advanced material properties.

Pavel Souček Appointed Professor

Prof. Pavel Souček from the Department of Plasma Physics and Technology and CEPLANT has been officially appointed Professor of Plasma Physics at a ceremonial event in Prague, where the decree was presented by the President of the Czech Republic. The appointment recognizes his long-term scientific excellence and significant contributions to plasma research.

The Physics – Nanotechnology study program at the Faculty of Science, Masaryk University, has been successfully reaccredited for the next 10 years. Closely linked to research in applied physics, nanotechnology, and advanced materials, the program prepares graduates for careers in both academia and industry.

The first edition of the Student Scientific Conference at DPPT and CEPLANT, brought together talented students to present their research. The event highlighted a high level of scientific quality and engagement, recognized outstanding achievements with financial awards, and opened the path for the winners to advance to the Czech-Slovak finale.
