The University of the Third Age has started: The Astronomy course about How do the stars live?
The course was started by doc. RNDr. Miloslav Zejda, Ph.D. with the lecture "HRD - the most important astrophysical diagram".
Classes will be held in person from 19 October to 7 December 2021, always on Tuesdays from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm in the auditorium of the MU Faculty of Science. The course will be led by colleagues from the Institute of Theoretical Physics and Astrophysics, Faculty of Science, Masaryk University, as well as scientists from the Brno Observatory and Planetarium, Brno University of Technology, the Astronomical Institute of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University and the Astronomical Institute of the CAS.

Prof. Pavel Souček from the Department of Plasma Physics and Technology and CEPLANT has been officially appointed Professor of Plasma Physics at a ceremonial event in Prague, where the decree was presented by the President of the Czech Republic. The appointment recognizes his long-term scientific excellence and significant contributions to plasma research.
