2025 Earth Day
At Earth Day 2025 in the Botanical Garden, physics was not absent. The Botanical Garden organizes this event every year. This year's topic was plant protection. Hundreds of people, both adults and children, came to the event.
The University of the Third Age has started: The Astronomy course about How do the stars live?
The course was started by doc. RNDr. Miloslav Zejda, Ph.D. with the lecture "HRD - the most important astrophysical diagram".
Classes will be held in person from 19 October to 7 December 2021, always on Tuesdays from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm in the auditorium of the MU Faculty of Science. The course will be led by colleagues from the Institute of Theoretical Physics and Astrophysics, Faculty of Science, Masaryk University, as well as scientists from the Brno Observatory and Planetarium, Brno University of Technology, the Astronomical Institute of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University and the Astronomical Institute of the CAS.
