Leader: prof. Rikard von Unge, Ph.D.
The group works on various research topics related to fundamental laws of physics in order to find a unified theory of all interactions.
This requires deep understanding of mathematical structures used in theoretical physics as well as studying extensions and generalizations of experimentally verified theories.
Areas of research
-
String Theory - integrability, string sigma models, gauge-gravity duality, Tachyon condensation, pure spinor formalism
-
Loop Quantum Gravity - gravitational waves, possibility of Lorentz invariance violation
-
Supersymmetry and Supergravity - supersymmetric sigma model geometry, extended superspace, supersymmetry breaking
-
Quantum Field Theory - Batalin-Vilkovisky formalism, scattering amplitudes
