2024 Earth Day

At Earth Day 2024 in the Botanical Garden, the Department of Plasma Physics and Technology and the CEPLANT Centre represent physics. The Botanical Garden organizes this event every year. This year's topic was plant protection. Hundreds of people, both adults and children, came to the event.

22 April of each year is dedicated globally to promoting and supporting the protection of our planet. At the Faculty of Science this event is organized by the Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Science, Masaryk University.

In 2024, the topic at the Botanical Garden was the Plant Protection. The event in the Botanical Garden wa scheduled on Saturday 20 April 2024. Physics and its relevance for plant protection and plant growth was presented by the Department of Plasma Physics and Technology and the CEPLANT center. Dr. Jana Jurmanová, Dr. Vlasta Štěpánová and Dr. Tereza Schmidtová demonstarted plasma ability to clean and decontaminate various seeds and promotion of germination capacity.
