ESCAMPIG 1st Announcement is here! The ESCAMPIG (Europhysics Conference on Atomic and Molecular Physics and Ionized Gases) is a biennial conference of EPS (European Physical Society). Conference topics are basic and applied plasma research. It will be held in Brno for the first time in Czechia on 9-13 July 2024.
International biennial conference of European Physical Society is held in Czechia for the first time. ESCAMPIG (Europhysics Conference on Atomic and Molecular Physics and Ionized Gases) will take place from 9th – 13th July 2024 at the Božetěchova campus of Faculty of Information Technology, Brno University of Technology (BUT). The event is organized by the Department of Plasma Physics and Technology of Masaryk University, the CEPLANT center and the Union of Czech Mathematicians and Physicists.
Scientists from the Faculty of Science at Masaryk University recently visited Ghent University’s HYDRAULICA laboratories to strengthen collaboration in sustainable plasma technologies. Hosted by Dr. Anton Nikiforov, the team discussed results of the NAKI3 project on plasma treatment of library collections and explored synergies with Ghent’s MOXY project, alongside plans for future joint research and Erasmus+ exchanges.
Prof. Šárka Pospíšilová, a prorector for research and doctoral studies, gave awards to new MU absolvents for exceptional results during their postgraduate studies. In the physics field, Dr. Roman Přibyl a fresh graduates from the Physics departments was awarded.
