There is many experiences, that may be shared between senior and younger students and for this purpose the Weekend Students' Seminar was organized for the third time
Studying at university is not always so straightforward, as it would be ideal. Choosing between subjects, topics of final thesis or study stays abroad is often very difficult for new students and it's great to talk about it with students, who had already experienced it.
For this reason, doctoral students on departments of physics had decided to organize event, where would be occasions for this interaction between younger and senior students. From originally experimental event is now official subject, which had full capacity for the third year in a row.
Apart from discussions, there are presentations with topics chosen to further enrich students in useful areas.
This year there were presentation about how to deal with projects by Libor Lenža, Michal Pazderka was explaining what are supernumbers, our absolvents Petr Zikán and Adam Obrusník were sharing their experiences in foundation of their own company PlasmaSolve and many others.

Our Ph.D. student Jan Skácel represented his research at the 32nd SPINE workshop organized by ESA in Madrid. The event gathered experts to discuss spacecraft – plasma interactions, including satellite charging and electric propulsion – key topics for Jan’s research in very low Earth orbit. His active involvement also paved the way for a collaborative ESA project proposal.
