Mgr. Štěpánka Kelarová: "Příprava foton-upkonverzních nanočástic"

Photon-upconversion nanoparticles based on lanthanides have been intensively studied recent years. These nanomaterials can emit visible/ultraviolet light under near-infrared excitation. This unique optical property makes the upconversion nanoparticles
ideal for bio-imaging applications, development of immunosensors, cancer therapy, preparation of novel composite materials etc.

In this talk, NaYF4:Yb,Er and NaGdF4:Yb/Tm@NaGdF4:Eu core-shell nanoparticles will be introduced. Upconversion mechanism, synthesis routes and optical properties of upconversion nanoparticles will be discussed in detail.
